Pet policies change, and a place can limit dogs on busy days or in bad weather. Please call ahead before you bring your dog, keep dogs leashed unless a fenced off-leash area says otherwise, and clean up after them.
🏖️Dog Beaches 2
Most Brevard beaches do not allow dogs. These two areas do, with rules.
Canova Beach Park dog beach
3299 Highway A1A, Indian Harbour Beach
Leash required; current tags on the collar; clean up after your dog; keep dogs off the dunes and away from marked turtle nests.
Brevard County beach park at the east end of the Eau Gallie Causeway with a signed dog-beach section (use the southernmost crossover). The county lists it among its dog parks.
4th Street South to the north side of Robert P. Murkshe Memorial Park, Cocoa Beach
Leash of 10 feet or less; 6–10 a.m., and 4–7 p.m. in standard time (5–9 p.m. in daylight saving time). Reach it from a crossover inside the area, not by walking down the beach. $50 fine for violations.
City of Cocoa Beach's designated stretch, with pet waste stations at each crossover in the area.
Dog parks run by Brevard County Parks & Recreation. Check posted rules at the gate; most require current vaccinations and tags.
Lori Wilson Park dog park
1500 N. Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach
Off-leash dog park on the south side of the park, divided for large and small dogs. Free parking. Dogs are not allowed on the beach here or outside the fenced area.
Jetty Park (Port Canaveral): Pets are not allowed in the day park or on the beach; they must stay in the campground area. Trained service animals are the exception. Port Canaveral: Jetty Park Beach & Pier
Satellite Beach: Dogs are not allowed on city beaches right now. A pilot that allowed them ended April 30, 2026; in September the City Council asked staff to draft a new, limited off-season ordinance, which has not taken effect. ClickOrlando (Sep 2026)
Lori Wilson Park beach: The fenced dog park is open, but dogs are not allowed on the beach or outside the enclosure. City of Cocoa Beach: Beach Rules
Every place here was checked on October 24, 2026 against Brevard County or city park pages, or the business's own website or a current listing. We list a place only when a source says dogs are welcome; places we could not confirm are left out. Know a place we missed? Email news@spacecoastwire.com. More food and drink: Bars & Restaurants.
