This project is to assess and improve the drainage where it seems that the wetlands are staging up. Final engineering includes approximately 1400 LF of new storm infrastructure, environmental mitigation, and easement acquisitions.

This project includes adding drainage pipes along the east side of N. Tropical Trail right-of-way to the intersection of Lucas Road, and then eastward along the north side of Lucas to a connection with the existing pipe system which carries all runoff for this area to an ultimate outfall ditch north of Lucas Terrace Subdivision and Ormond Ave. The project length is approximately 950 LF along N. Tropical Trail and 350 LF along Lucas Road.

This is the continuation of design for drainage and paving for Angel, Teal, and Raven, from the recently completed Newfound Harbor study. Teal and Raven, currently dirt roads, will be paved and brought up to paved road standards with consideration for drainage, and Angel will be retrofitted for drainage improvements with consideration for future drainage infrastructure expansion along Newfound Harbor Drive per the Newfound Harbor study completed by Hanson.

Project aims to eliminate stormwater drainage from travel ways, improve overall site drainage, and raise road out of river flood stages via combination of roadside swales, pipes, and raising the road in select locations.

The project consists of replacing approximately 100 LF of existing double barrel metal pipe with a box culvert at the Evans Road M-1 Canal crossing approximately 150 feet south of Hibiscus Blvd. Also includes sidewalk improvements.

Ditch staging along the northside of Ranch Road (FKA Kings Highway) can create backwash effect. It appears to historically drain west into the canal system that outfalls into St. John's. Underdrain that connects this northside ditch and PSJ Unit 7's ditch to the south appears to be a retrofit. Dirt road paving from Grissom to Amesbury. Potential grant funding to pave from Amesbury to nearby school to southwest.

Nuisance vegetation management uncovered several hardened areas along the creek bank in need of repair. Extent of vegetation removal also necessitated additional stabilization along approximately 925-feet of the creek. This project intends on providing design for replacing the hardened areas of the creek banks and appropriate stabilization measures along the unhardened areas of the creek, permitting, and construction.

Dixie Village is located west of US Hwy 1 and is generally bound by N Singleton Ave on the west, Parrish Rd to the north, and Westwood Dr to the south. This area has an uncommonly steep natural grade causing stormwater to overcome the existing drainage infrastructure in high intensity rain events. Blocked Drainage on Ackerman along Swale staging up which causing flooding issue on Ackerman. Low area with pavement swale at the intersection of Feather and Achilles. Water cannot make it along feather to Ackerman to drain south to the outfall and pond at the low areas. The potential future design work consists of elevating flooding issues to resolve local flooding in this area by establishing positive flow to the outfall located east of 7115 Ackerman Ave Cocoa lot based on historical GDC plans. A survey contract has been issued to ETM to survey the area for design purposes of a total of 3,785 LF.

This projects consists of drainage improvements to reduce the flooding between Bryn Mawr Drive and 3245 Westwood Drive due to heavy rain events. Preliminary concepts include upgrading existing Miami curbing and installing additional curb inlets with the 23-acre contributing watershed.

Maemir is a subdivision in unincorporated Brevard County surrounding by improved properties annexed into the City of Rockledge. The residents have reports of periodic flooding of the road and structures within the subdivision, reportedly from a combination of backflow from the Fiske Blvd (FDOT roadway) and blockage of historical flow north and south from the rear lots. Irwin Avenue has experienced periodic overtopping and delayed recovery following rain events. This study aims to understand the historical considerations for drainage and determine what improvements can be made to improve drainage for the contributing areas.

Ph1: From the Master Drainage Study in the area, upgrading the culvert underneath International Ave is the first step to fix the backwater effects in the area Ph2: Ditch work, pipe installment, and dirt road base. Preliminary Total Cost Estimate: $3,738,300

The cross drain north of Palm Ave is undersized per the recently completed Scottsmoor model and must be upsized to lower upstream staging, particularly for future improvements for Palm Avenue.

This project consists of designing approximately 4650 LF (0.88 miles) of 6’ wide concrete pedway on the south side of Sheridan Road from Sylvan Drive to Wickham Road. The pedway will include connections to the existing sidewalk sections of various subdivisions along Sheridan Road.

Recently, the scope has been expanded to include two (2) relocations of Brevard County's forcemain; the first as a temporary measure, and the second into its final aerial crossing geometry. We expect that BC Utilities will absorb most of the costs (both design and construction) related to the relocations - TBD. Brevard County has requested Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to perform an Intersection Safety Study for the intersection of Grissom Pkwy & Canaveral Groves Blvd. This study includes examining of existing conditions and proposing modifications to the intersection configuration, as well as designing the conversion of the existing span wire to a mast arm system.

The purpose of this project is to add a southbound right turn lane to improve overall safety and operation of the intersection as well as the level of service for Wickham Road, as identified in the Feasibility Study for this intersection improvement. The volume of southbound right turn traffic reduces the rate at which southbound through traffic can move effectively through the intersection. Separating the right turn queue by provide a dedicated right turn lane will improve signal operation, reduce intersection delay, and improve traffic progression on Wickham Road. Design performed by Metric Engineering, Inc., with project management by AtkinsRealis.

Brevard County has requested Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to analyze the loading on the span wire system at Wickham Rd & Business Center Blvd to determine if additional signal heads EB/WB can be added. Associated with this are a concept of the required strain pole modification (short-term) and concept of conversion to a mast arm system (longer-term).

Signalization of the intersection including roadway modifications to include extending the left turn lane heading southbound to 375 ft, extending the left turn lane heading northbound to 510 ft, and update existing median islands.
