On select evenings through Halloween, the zoo turns its paths into a spooky after-dark walk with glowing jack-o'-lanterns, fog, eerie lighting and oversized displays. It's meant for all ages, though some areas are darker and creepier than others. On Friday and Saturday nights in October, tickets also cover River's Revenge, an optional behind-the-scenes scare trail the zoo recommends for ages 10 and up.
