None of these USGS lagoon-area gauges is reporting water temperature right now, so none is shown.
Water levels are provisional USGS data. Levels at different gauges use different reference points, so compare a gauge with itself over time, not with another gauge.
Algal blooms (FDEP)
No FDEP algal bloom samples from the lagoon were posted in the last 14 days.
Red tide (FWC)
14 FWC samples from Brevard waters, Wed, Oct 21 to Mon, Oct 26. Highest Karenia brevis level found:
- Indian River: not present/background (0-1,000) cells per liter (7 samples)
- Banana River: not present/background (0-1,000) cells per liter (7 samples)
Sources: U.S. Geological Survey water data (provisional); Florida DEP algal bloom sampling (also on Protecting Florida Together); FWC Fish and Wildlife Research Institute red tide sampling (most recent 8 days). Samples show conditions where and when they were taken; blooms can change quickly.
