Blue Origin asks FAA to allow up to 50 New Glenn launches a year from Cape Canaveral
A draft environmental assessment would raise the cap at Space Launch Complex 36 from 12 launches a year; public comments are due Oct. 30.
The Federal Aviation Administration is reviewing a draft environmental assessment that would raise the annual cap on Blue Origin New Glenn launches from Space Launch Complex 36 from 12 to 50, according to the FAA and WKMG.
WKMG reported that Brevard County Emergency Management activates for every launch and expects more launches to add to its workload.
The FAA is accepting written public comments through Oct. 30. Details are on the agency's project page.
