Brevard County high school football reaches the end of the regular season Friday, Oct. 30, with one county team already moving on in the state playoffs.

Satellite advances

Satellite beat Lemon Bay 31-7 on Thursday night, Oct. 29, in the first round of the SSAA Atlantic state playoffs, according to MaxPreps. The Scorpions came in off an unbeaten regular season, Florida Today reported, and had shut out Tradition Prep 53-0 a week earlier. Florida Today reports the win sends Satellite to the SSAA quarterfinals.

Friday's games to watch

According to Florida Today's Week 11 preview:

• Merritt Island at Viera: The Mustangs, 9-0, are trying to finish the regular season unbeaten. Merritt Island shut out Rockledge 49-0 last week and edged Eau Gallie 36-35 on Oct. 9, according to MaxPreps.
• Rockledge vs. Cocoa: The annual BBQ Bowl rivalry.
• Heritage at Melbourne Central Catholic.
• Vero Beach at Eau Gallie: The Commodores host a top-25 opponent.
• SSAA playoffs: Space Coast plays at King's Academy in the SSAA Atlantic bracket. In the SSAA 8-man playoffs, Merritt Island Christian hosts Lake Mary Prep and Calvary Chapel plays at Shorecrest Prep. Florida Today notes Merritt Island Christian also finished its regular season unbeaten.

The road to the FHSAA playoffs

Friday is the last date for FHSAA regular-season games, according to the FHSAA's 2026 football calendar. Regional quarterfinals for Classes 1A through 6A start Nov. 13, followed by regional semifinals Nov. 20, regional finals Nov. 27 and state semifinals Dec. 4. The FHSAA plans to release its playoff brackets on Nov. 6 at 5 p.m., TCPalm reported.
